Why we’re building HelioStep

A good day at school too often ends as a crumpled paper card at the bottom of a backpack.

Parents of kids working on behavior goals already do so much: a chart on the fridge, a note from the teacher, a guess at what’s been helping lately. We wanted one calm place for all of it.

When can we start?

We’re starting with a small group of families and their teachers. We’ll email the list as more places open.

What will it cost?

HelioStep is free to start, for one child. Plus adds teacher invites, more children and reports, and starts with a free month. It’s billed through your phone’s app store with your payment method, and it renews unless you cancel. Teachers and school staff never pay.

Does my child’s teacher have to join?

No. You can check in at home on your own and copy the paper card in by hand. When you’re ready, invite the teacher and their card comes to the app.

Does my child use the app?

No. Children never have accounts. HelioStep is for you and the adults you invite.

What happens to my email?

We use it to tell you about HelioStep and nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove your address any time.
